Christmastime brings with it a lot of wishes and wants and for some of us, pain, stress and feelings of being or having less than.  It is a struggle to keep things simple, at home, in gift giving and in our hearts. In it's truest meaning, Christmas is about God sending his son into the world to save sinners...in a most humble way and having nothing to do with decor, vibes, coziness, lights, trees, santa, piles of presents...or any of the other things we make it.  But the struggle IS real.

The struggle is real...to find that sweet spot of obedience in working hard at the many things God has set before me...and just enjoying the sweet, simple things I love the most about every new day. Welcome to Raw. Real. Redeemed! How do we maintain the balance between tidy and chaos, order and disorder, calm and stressed, enough and too much? It's not easy. But one test I use in our home...is...you'll have to tune in to find out.  And I MIGHT just send a shot across the bow in regards to hoarding...and a way to tell if you might be slipping into that territory. Welcome to Raw. Real. Redeemed! Whilst going through a seriously difficult season physically I had to fight and fight and fight for the next right step...because the situation itself kept changing so drastically and there were so many different moving pieces that I could not control. In the end...I had to surrender and just pray...and God moved the mountains.

Since this episode was recorded I have had surgery and gone through several weeks of slow healing...which I look forward to talking about in future episodes.

Are you going through painful times friend? PRAY. Pray to the LORD and He WILL come alongside you in ways you can not now see or believe.

Welcome to Raw. Real. Redeemed! When we were gathered to record this episode there was a state wide man hunt going on for someone who had just killed almost 20 people and injured many more. This was a first in our state and very scary to experience even an hour away from where it happened...let alone where Amber's oldest daughter was...in the same town. So as you can imagine, Ber was feeling ALL the mama bear feels, gut feelings and intuitions that could be felt and she had to do something about it. 

Since this episode was recorded the man in question was found dead by his own hand in the woods near where he had killed so many.

Welcome to Raw. Real. Redeemed! Last week our sweet friend, Juliette Osborne shared her battle with lupus and how that played out in her daily life as a wife and mama. Today she shares her miraculous story of healing through strict intermittent fasting. She goes into both the science and faith behind it and how beneficial it has been to her regaining and maintaining her mobility and freedom while fighting a seriously debilitating chronic disease.  She also does multiple deep dives into body image and how real that struggle is for women. She challenges us to rebel against the lies our culture constantly feeds us and instead to claim God's truths that we are "fearfully and wonderfully made", something I personally struggle with, every day.

Our special guest in today's episode has battled Lupus for over 15 years and through long debilitating years of being bedridden, in a wheel chair followed by years healing through a deep dedication to intermittent fasting, she has learned to see the Lord's hand in EVERY situation. She now boldly welcomes the challenge to find the JOY of the LORD even in the worst days and lives to encourage others to do the same.  This episode is SO rich and full of gentle reminders to press on in difficult situations that we encourage you to listen with a pen and paper to take notes and please share with us your favorite takeaways.
